Critical Alert
Due to the significant software advances made to the RAMIS software recently, V2.1 of RAMIS is no longer compatible with the system without significant development, therefore we have taken the decision to turn V2.1 off on 31/08/2010.

V3.1 offers the same and significantly more features than that of V2.1 and if you have any concerns please contact info@collcom.net

System Update
Hello, RAMIS:LIVE has been upgraded to V3.1, please see below for a summary of the new features.
  • Cyclic Tasks are now able to be “Measurable” or “Non-Measurable”. (this is configured at the corporate level)
  • Remedial Tasks are now able to be “Measurable” or “Non-Measurable”. (this is configured on a UID by UID basis)
  • Dashboard Pages have filters which allow ease of reporting these statuses. (this is saved as a user choice so different users can have different views)
  • Corporate summary allows for turning off containers in the view so that reporting is not affected. (again user configurable – this will allow you to have archive containers on your front screen and not affect the overall %)
  • Cyclical tasks are able to have a “Schedule Date”, however scheduling a cyclical task that is not compliant still means it is not compliant, the calendars/planners represent this.
  • Cyclical can be assigned a responsibility at corporate level.
  • Remedial Tasks can be assigned a responsibility on a UID by UID basis.
  • Reports menu has been categorised to reduce confusion.
  • Customisable report has been extended to include extra information and filters,
    • Task Origins
    • Task Responsibilities
    • Tasks Closed dates and names (different to completed information)
    • Tasks Created dates and names
    • Date based filter and options
    • Measurable/Non-Measurable filter
If you experience any difficulties please contact the office on 01443 757676 or email info@collcom.net. We would like to thank you for your continued support.

We have been updating our security controls within RAMIS for your data protection. One of these changes has been an improvement to the password policy.

In order to ensure this, the first time every user logs in from 2nd July 2010 they will be asked to change their password along with a few other security questions. This change also applies to existing users.

We appreciate your help and patience in working with us to achieve a safer environment for RAMIS and yourselves.

News
South Yorkshire fire crews will take further strike action after managers refused to withdraw the threat to sack 744 firefighters. The Fire Brigades Union had given the fire authority until 4pm today (Monday 18 January) to withdraw the threat of mass sackings to force through new contracts.

The strike action announced today starts on 27 January at 09.00 and ends on 4 February at 18.00hrs. The action is in addition to a 48 hour strike starting at 09.00hours 24 January and ending at 09.00 hours 26 January which the union announced on Friday.

Fire-fighters from all over the UK are supporting their colleagues from South Yorkshire.

10 Top Tips to keep you and your business safe from fire:
  1. Your fire risk assessment must be reviewed to take account that the fire service may not turn up to fight fires or effect any rescues.
  2. Review your emergency plan to ensure suitable and sufficient measures are implemented should the Fire Service not attend your premises in the event of an incident. Practice your evacuation plan.
  3. Ensure that your staff receive suitable and sufficient fire safety training more frequently due to delayed response times from the fire service.
  4. Ensure that all fire safety measures (alarms, smoke detectors etc..) are maintained by a 3rd party accredited company.
  5. Maintain a high level of housekeeping in the workplace (i.e. hourly checks)
  6. Out of hours - ensure that your business is protected while the building is empty. A system like BT Redcare can inform an ARC (Alarm Receiving Centre) that there is a fire at your premises.
  7. Ensure any hot works are kept to a minimum during the strike periods.
  8. Switch off any equipment that is generally left on stand by mode.
  9. Our experience in the last fire-fighters strikes was that it could take up to 45 minutes to get a fire engine in attendance.
  10. Finally, remember to implement as many fire safety measures at home to keep you and your family safe too.
